The Center for Legal Responsibility at South Texas College of Law
has been engaged in a continuous research and training program to enhance the education of law students regarding alternative dispute resolution and professionalism through the use of responsible dispute resolution strategies and advanced computer technology in cooperation with Resolution Forum, Inc.
Resolution Forum, Inc.
is a non-profit organization with close ties to the Center for Legal Responsibility at South Texas College of Law. They are pioneers in applying technology to dispute resolution.
Harris County Dispute Resolution Center
as a member of the Harris County Partners in Peer Mediation, has contributed training volunteer effort to the PPM program, and it has conducted special peer mediation training programs in several Harris County schools and juvenile institutions.
Texas Empowerment Network, Inc.
has been engaged in a continuing effort to develop cost-effective ways to reduce youth violence and criminal recidivism, and for the past five years, it has conducted successful conflict resolution and peer mediation programs in juvenile rehabilitation facilities.
Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts
has developed several successful art-related youth improvement and conflict resolution programs in Harris County elementary and middle schools.
Harris County Department of Education Center for Professional Development & Instructional Support
has served as general administrator of the Harris County Partners in Peer Mediation (PMM) Program over the last six years. In that capacity, it has helped initiate and administer conflict resolution and peer mediation training programs for youth in some 301 elementary, middle, and high schools and in two juvenile residential facilities in Harris County, Texas. It has also developed a training manual (which is available without cost to all schools and non-profit training facilities) and has conducted training seminars for teachers in various counties across Texas.
